PM Modi addresses Nation- On 22 April 2025, an incident happened which shocked the whole of India. 26 innocent people were killed in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam area of Jammu and Kashmir. The death of these innocent people brought pain not only to their families but to the entire country. Everyone was shocked, angry and the most important thing – now everyone stood together.

Not religion-caste, country first
The most special thing that came to light after this attack was that the entire country raised its voice against terrorism in one voice. No one was seeing who belonged to which party, which religion or where they came from. Everyone had only one objective – to respond to the terrorists.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation and said, “Our unity is our greatest strength.” Opposition parties like Congress, RJD and other leaders also did not do politics on this occasion, but supported the government. Even common people did not remain silent. Rallies were held across the country, candles were lit, and everyone raised the same slogan—“Enough is enough!”
Operation Sindoor: Revenge for martyrdom, this was also mentioned when PM Modi addresses Nation
This unity of the country gave courage to the government to take a big step. And then started on 6-7 May operation vermilion, There was a deep feeling behind this name also. The husbands of many women were martyred in the Pahalgam attack, and the vermilion was erased from their foreheads. This vermilion has now become the identity of the country’s fight.
This operation was planned by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval himself, and named by Prime Minister Modi. In this operation, Army, Air Force and Navy all three came together. 9 hideouts of terrorists were targeted in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Where did the action take place?
Indian forces attacked in a very strategic manner. Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba hideouts were targeted in areas like Bahawalpur, Muridke, and Rawalpindi. More than 100 terrorists were killed in these attacks.
Our forces used BrahMos missiles and smart bombs, which made these attacks very fast and accurate. Before the enemy could understand anything, everything was over.
Old wounds also found answers
Operation Sindoor was not just a response to the Pahalgam attack. It was also a balm on all the wounds that India had been suffering over the years – the Parliament attack of 2001, the Mumbai attack of 2008 and now the Pahalgam attack of 2025.
Many of the terrorists who had planned these attacks were killed this time. In a way, it was like settling old scores.
Prime Minister Modi said in clear words, “Whoever spoils the marriage of our sisters and daughters will have to pay the price.”
Pakistan also suffered huge losses
In this operation, not only terrorists were killed, but some soldiers of Pakistan also became casualties. Many military bases were destroyed. This exposed the reality of Pakistan to the world – that it promotes terrorism and now it will have to pay the price for it.
On May 10, America intervened and tried to reduce the tension between the two countries. But India clearly said that now the discussion will happen only when terrorism and PoK are discussed. It also became clear that India will no longer just talk about peace, it will also take action if needed.
World Support and Warning
This time the world also stood with India. Big countries like America, Russia, France came in support of India’s action. As usual, China adopted a slightly blunt attitude, but India gave a strong reply to its words also.
With this, India took another big step –The Indus water treaty stopped. This created more pressure on Pakistan, because through this agreement Pakistan was getting a large amount of water.
lessons the country learned
Operation Sindoor was definitely a military action, but more than that it became a symbol of the country’s sentiments and self-respect. This was a message to all those who think that India will bear everything quietly.
Our army has also shown that when the country is united, it can do anything. The courage of the soldiers, the determination of the government and the unity of the people together took this historic step.
